After I got the new trctor home I was looking around and saw that it didn't have the removable radiator inlet screen. I went back to the dealer this morning to get the screen and the color coded rings for the loader couplings that the mechanic felt like I didn't need (even though I paid for them with the new loader. They hadn't even given me the coupling caps). They told me that New Holland didn't provide the screens any more the that class tractor even though it is still equiped to have the screen.

They were kind enough to let me take the screen out of my old TC29D. It's sure easier to clean the screen than to try to blow out the radiator from behind. Why would New Holland drop this feature????????

Too bad, you wouldn't think supplying a screen would run up production costs enough to sacrifice some customer good will. Well, I suppose if typical corporate bean counters had their way a tractor would be sold with a statement: 'Anything detachable that doesn't prevent the machine from running not included.'

Don't know; maybe NH figured that most of these machines would end up doing fairly clean 'estate work' and wouldn't need screens. Still sounds like nickel and diming though.

There is a possibility that your dealer isn't telling you the truth. I looked at a new TC33D on a dealer lot and it had a screen. The sales guy pulled the screen out when giving me the "ease of maintenance" spiel.

It's possible I guess. I did go out and look at the only other compact on the lot and it didn't have the screen. This is a new dealer in my area (bought out the old one) and they sure haven't made a very good impression on me with this sale.

I just finished tightening up some hydraulic leaks, installing missing bolts and fixing a tail light that didn't work. ....

I had a new radiator put in mine and it's a different part number. Effective with serial # G039046 a new radiator PN 86402723 was introduced into production. The old radiator had 12 fins per inch. The new one has 8 fins per inch. It is recomended by the service bulletin #3/03-t5 that the screen is not used with the new radiator. ....
